I love Red Hot Chili Peppers, and bonus points for being the first single in a while not to say California.

Song: “Wolves”
Artist: The Cat Empire
Album: Rising with the Sun
Label: Two Shoes
Released: March 4

Typical Cat Empire song: fun and danceable.  Will probably be played during their live sets for years to come.

Artist: Radiohead
Album: A Moon Shaped Pool
Label: XL Recordings
Released: May 8

My favourite track on the new record.  Love the spacey electronics and guitar solo.

Song: “Steer Your Way”
Artist: Leonard Cohen
Album: You Want It Darker
Label: Columbia
Released: October 21

One of the strongest songs on the album, while also featuring background vocals from Alison Krauss and Dana Glover.

Song: “Here Comes Revenge”
Artist: Metallica
Album: Hardwired… to Self-Destruct
Label: Blackened
Released: November 18

Sounds like a song that could’ve been featured on the Black Album.
