Emerging singer-songwriter Emily Rowed is back with a new lyric video for her track “Shipwreck”, which you can watch exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.
“I made this stop-motion lyric video in my room out of my neighbour’s surf magazines, it took about 100 hours,” said Rowed. “My new song “Shipwreck” is the first single off my upcoming EP, it’s the rawest I think I can get.”
Emily Rowed started singing at an airport in 2013 when she was discovered by the acclaimed DJ, Tiesto. A couple months later, she cut vocals on his track “Say Something”. Her voice breaks your heart open, and pours butter down your bones. It haunts and soothes at the same time. Rowedʼs songwriting is deeply personal, and her production is lush and cinematic. Her songs have been licensed by ABC, Lifetime, Netflix, and a Hallmark movie where she also made her TV debut as an actor. After signing with 604 Records in 2015, she released her Electric Heart EP, and her first full-length April. Rowed is currently in Nashville, where sheʼs been writing her forthcoming EP, set for release in September 2020.
