Exclusive Premiere: Watch TRIPLE X SNAXXX’s New “Press/Play” Mini Documentary

North Carolina-based electronic duo, TRIPLE X SNAXXX, is back with their new “Press/Play” mini documentary, which you can watch exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.

The duo makes a blend of electronic music that pulls heavily from Detroit techno, Italo disco, and German motorik music. It’s stirring music that demands movement, the tight rhythms of their analog equipment pushing every composition forward.

The duo are releasing a new EP later this month, and the video was shot at Citizen Vinyl in North Carolina where you can see them performing next to the equipment as their own records get pressed.

OK, maybe there is a little pastiche in the equation, but the golden age of synth music is inspiring in that way. All songs are composed without the aid of MIDI or laptops in an effort to fully explore the limitations of classic instruments.

TRIPLE X SNAXXX is Patrick O’Neill and Alex Maiolo, who are often joined by various collaborators.
