The Best Friends with Wolves Club’s album, Cha cha cha

The Best Friends with Wolves Club’s album, Cha cha cha, can easily be summed up as “something funky to jam to while washin’ the dishes.”

Positive notes of this exclusive four-track, free downloadable album is that it uniquely combines characteristics seen in music performed by MGMT and show tunes from classic cult film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).

When listening to this album for the first time, a single negative thought about the music never crossed my mind.

With ska-like characteristics like tambourines and quick, short “HEY!”s, there is never a dull moment in this sneak preview of a band that could possibly be on your favourite indie rock/pop radio station in the near future.

The first track, Smile, instantly hooks you with a catchy, electronic beat. Shortly following that, a funky, complicated keyboard riff comes in. Being a keyboardist, I was sold.

Overall, the album is fantastic for those times where you need a quick little pick-me-up.
