The 2019 CBC Music Festival took place last night at Echo Beach in Toronto and featured performances by folk-rock singer-songwriter Buffy Sainte-Marie, who released her newest album, Medicine Songs, on November 10th, 2017 via True North Records, which featured the single “You Got to Run (Spirit of the Wind)(feat. Tanya Tagaq), Montreal-based electropop/jazz singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin, who released her second EP, Main Girl, in 2017, and singer Emmanuel Jal.
