Imagine walking up a countryside trail. The rain has stopped, but it’s still foggy out and your visibility is limited. That’s the atmosphere that Family Band’s new track “Moonbeams” gives. With an eerie drum pattern and a smooth guitar shimmering throughout the song, and an almost-whispering vocal by visual-artist-turned-singer Kim Krans, the track is a mystery that continues to unravel from their earlier release “Night Song.”
Family Band, the collaboration between visual-artist-turned-singer Krans and her husband, Jonny Ollsin (Children, S.T.R.E.E.T.S.), will release their sophomore album, Grace & Lies, on July 24 via No Quarter.
