Sean Rowe won’t be unknown for long with ‘Magic’

By: Michelle Whittemore –

Sean Rowe’s debut album is appropriately titled ‘Magic’. His strong yet soothing baritone voice accompanies melodies more on the delicate side. The contrast is, for lack of a better word, magical.

The album totals five tracks, which seem, initially, mismatched. Songs straddle lines of different style-lines, from jazz to blues, and interestingly enough, indie. But that which we call jazz by any other name would sound as awesome.

Regardless of Rowe’s style, listeners can expect to be romanced by the honesty of his lyrics and the raw character in his voice.

‘Wet’ should be the final song played at any social gathering. It is the perfect wind-down to any evening, and easily the piece de la resistance on this album. For a fun social experiment, you should play this song at a party and watch to see how many people stop and listen.

Magic is an important addition to any summer playlist. It provides the novelty of listening to unknown talent, however this will only be temporary, as Sean Rowe will soon be known.
