Juno Award winner and 2007 Polaris Music Prize short-list nominee Julie Doiron brought her unique blend of indie folk rock to Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern on Friday night.
Construction of Destruction, whose latest album, 2012’s Winter Studies EP, included a spirited cover of Neil Young’s “Last Dance,” Vancouver’s Jordan Klassen, who released a 2-song Christmas album Ghost of Christmas Past in December 2012, which was produced by Warne Livesey (Matthew Good, Emm Gryner), and A Roara supported her.
Doiron released her latest album So Many Days in October 2012 and she is currently touring in support of it. The album serves as the final album in a trilogy which began with 2007’s Woke Myself Up and followed by 2009’s I Can Wonder What You Did With Your Day.
