R&B legend Smokey Robinson, who founded The Miracles in 1955 and enjoyed a 40-year career that included a Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction, performed at the Toronto Jazz Festival last night with pop/R&B starlett Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, who recently concluded a four-year term as a Detroit city council member and who will be among the first inductees in the Rhythm n’ Blues Hall of Fame in September.
