Massachusetts-based instrumental post-rock band Caspian, who released their third album, Waking Season, last September via Triple Crown Records, and who lost their bass player, Chris Friedrich, who died unexpectedly in August, performed at Lee’s Palace in Toronto last night with English instrumental post-rock quartet 65daysofstatic, who released their sixth album, Wild Light, on September 16th via Superball Music and who have often been compared to the likes of Aphex Twin, and Toronto-based indie math rock band Bulletproof Tiger.
