UK folk-punk singer-songwriter Frank Turner, who released his fifth album, Tape Deck Heart, which was produced by Rich Costey (Sigur Rós, Muse, Nine Inch Nails, The Mars Volta), in April via Xtra Mile/Interscope, performed at Sound Academy in Toronto last night with Vancouver-based folk singer-songwriter Billy the Kid, who released, Perspective – EP, in February, and Toronto-based indie rock quintet July Talk, who released their self-titled debut album last October.
