Toronto-based indie rock duo Army Girls, who are Carmen Elle (DIANA) and Andy Smith (Doldrums), and who released their debut EP, Close to the Bone, via Blocks Recording Club (Owen Pallette/Final Fantasy), which was produced by Ben Cook (Fucked Up) in late 2012, headlined a NXNE showcase at The Garrison in Toronto last night with Toronto-based post-rock/ambient quartet Fresh Snow, who released their debut album, I, on August 8th, 2013 via Reel Cod Records, Toronto-based garage/blues/pop singer-songwriter Michael Rault, who released Whirlpool EP on July 31st, 2012, and Toronto indie rockers Wish.
