The Austin Psych Fest kicked off their 2014 edition a day early with a pair of pre-festival parties, including one at The Mohawk, located in downtown Austin, Tx.

To jump start the festitives, the packed venue was treated to performances by LA-based garage/shoegaze/psych-pop quartet Froth, who released their debut album, Patterns, via Burger Records/Lolipop Records in the fall of 2013, Montreal-based psychedelic rock quartet Elephant Stone, who were longlisted for the 2009 Polaris Music Prize, and Seattle-based psychedelic/garage/soul trio Night Beats, who released their second album, Sonic Bloom, last year.
