Toronto-based surf rock quartet The Elwins, who released their debut album, And I Thank You, on February 21st, 2012, which was self-released by the band, performed at Adelaide Hall in Toronto on May 16th with Calgary-based indie pop band Fast Romantics, who released their second album, Afterlife Blues, last year, and more, as part of The Sound Of Change Music Festival, which raised money to support international development through Canadian charity, Raising The Village, which focuses onalleviating poverty through sustainable education solutions in rural and hard-to-reach places in Africa.
