Nunavut-born throat singer Tanya Tagaq, who released her third album, Animism, on May 27th, 2014 via Six Shooter Records, which won the 2014 Polaris Music Prize, and was produced by Jesse Zubot (Dan Mangan, Stars, Mother Mother), performed at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa last night with Toronto-based electronic trio Doomsquad, who released a remixed version of their debut album called Kalaboogie Twice Me, which features remixes from Graham Walsh of Holy Fuck, Robbie Slade of Humans, Lee Paradise (a.k.a. Daniel Lee of Hooded Fang and Phèdre), and more.
