Linkin Park, System Of A Down To Headline Amnesia Rockfest 2015

Linkin Park and System Of A Down will headline the 10th edition of Amnesia Rockfest, which will be held from June 18 to 21 at the Montebello marina in Quebec.

Also performing are punk rock group The Offspring (who will perform the album Americana), legendary metal band Slayer, Grammy-nominated rapper Snoop Dogg, master of horror Rob Zombie and the comedy duo Tenacious D, actor Jack Black‘s (School of Rock, Shallow Hal) group, for their first Quebec appearance. Other bands include PixiesSublime with RomeDeftones (who will perform the album Around The Fur), Rancid (who will perform the album And Out Come The Wolves), Bad ReligionRefused (reunion), Thrice (reunion), Coheed and CambriaStory Of The Year, Flogging MollyGogol BordelloPropagandhiGoldfingerLess Than JakeGood RiddanceTen Foot PoleThe Bouncing SoulsSatanic Surfers (reunion) and many others.

Rockfest will also present legendary industrial groups Ministry and Skinny Puppy, for their first show together since 1988.

In rotation with the main stage, the Quebec stage will present the pillars of the Quebec alternative scene, including the first appearance at Rockfest of Les Cowboys Fringants. Several disbanded groups will get back together for one show only at Amnesia Rockfest: Banlieue RougeGroovy AardvarkSubbMAPPenelopeBlind WitnessBald Vulture,OverbassLes Ékorchés and Capitaine Révolte. Several festival regulars are returning, including Mononc’ Serge and The Planet Smashers.

Some of this year’s new features include having several comedians such as Tom GreenSteve-O from Jackass (first Quebec appearance in 10 years, since the 2004 riot at the Metropolis) and Mike Ward. Several other surprises and secret performances are in store for festival-goers. Finally, a reminder that Tim Armstrong of Rancid and Fat Mike of NOFX are curators of the 10th anniversary edition.
