New Music: Stream Sam Roberts Band’s New Psychedelia-Infused Record Store Day Track “Counting The Days”

Sam Roberts Band will release an EP featuring new music on Record Store Day (April 18th).

Counting The Days will be available on red vinyl with black and white splatter from Universal Music Canada and Paper Bag Records.  The title-track is a sprawling, psychedelia-infused rocker that clocks in at nearly eight minutes in length.

2014’s Lo-Fantasy was Sam Roberts Band’s first new album in three years. Working for the first time with producer Youth (a.k.a. Martin Glover) whose credits range from The Verve’s ‘Urban Hymns’ to Crowded House, as well as stints performing with Paul McCartney, The Orb, and post-punk outfit Killing Joke, Lo-Fantasy infused Sam Roberts Band’s rousing brand of rock n’ roll with elements of funk, house, electronic, and African music, resulting in a Juno Award nomination for Rock Album Of The Year.
