Photos: NXNE 2015 – Saffron Sect, B-17, Planet Creature @ The Smiling Buddha

Toronto-based psychedelic pop band Saffron Sect, who have been described as a “mixture of medieval-flavoured folk-rock, celestial electric ballroom psych, elegiac balladry, ebullient jugband-ragas, pastoral thrumm-blueses and various zonked twangling sounds, played on an array of archaic instruments”, performed at The Smiling Buddha in Toronto on June 20th as part of NXNE 2015 with Toronto-based psychedelic acid rock band B-17, who released their debut album, Wishing Won’t Make It So, on November 30th, 2012, and Toronto-based psych pop band Planet Creature.
