Preview: Electric Island Returns to Toronto on Canada Day

Electric Island is here again on July 1st for its second of four events this summer. This time they are bringing out  world renowned DJs: Sasha, Marcel Dettmann, Lee Foss and Dennis Ferrer as well as local talent from Jonathan Rosa, Jeff Button and Greg Gow.

Any fans of techno and house music will have a lot to be excited about. Dennis Ferrer is a Grammy-nominated techno/house heavy-hitter with hits like “Hey Hey” which received support from DJs like Pete Tong. Lee Foss, a Chicago-born DJ with releases on labels like No 19, playing regularly in Ibiza and also preforming alongside fellow DJs under the alias Hot Natured. Marcel Dettmann comes straight out of Berlin, bringing with him an incredible collection of vinyl from his days working for the world renowned record distributor Hard Wax. Sasha is headlining Electric Island and with good reason – he has been noted as one of the world’s greatest DJs for years. Sasha was voted by DJ Mag readers in the first ever Top 100 Poll in 1997 as the 3rd greatest DJ in the world, eventually reaching #1 in 2000. Sasha is grammy nominated, winner of numerous DJ Awards and International Dance Music Awards and an all around dance music legend.
