Grammy-nominated thrash metal band GWAR, who released their thirteenth album, Battle Maximus, on September 17th, 2013 via Metal Blade, the last album to feature frontman Dave Brockie (aka Oderus Urungus) due to Brockie’s death on March 23, 2014, performed at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver last night with Montreal-based death metal band Cryptopsy, who released their self-titled seventh album on September 14th, 2012.
