Reaction NYE 2015 takes over the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Chicago from Dec. 30-31.
As 2015 comes to a close, the big shows and must-hear albums come to a halt. Until New Year’s Eve, that is. NYE is a chance for everyone to let their hair down and celebrate their triumphs of 2015 and look to new beginnings in 2016. React Presents has put together the two-night Reaction NYE 2015 event at Donald Stephens Convention Center to help Chicago do just that, and they’re bringing some heavy hitters like Deadmau5, Skrillex, CHVRCHES, Run The Jewels, and Chance The Rapper to help get the groove going.
Here are the 5 artists you need to see as you ring in 2016.

Chance The Rapper
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Fresh off the biggest show of his career this summer at Pitchfork Music Festival, Chance The Rapper is closing out a year in which he was featured on the cover of Chicago Magazine’s “Chicagoans Of The Year” issue, performed at Bonnaroo’s iconic superjam, and became the first independent artist to ever perform on Saturday Night Live. He also lent his skills to Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment’s record, and appeared on Late Show With Stephen Colbert. His performance is all energy, so be sure to take a nap before heading up to Rosemont.

Thundercat
_____________________________________________________________________________________
In addition to being featured on two of 2015’s best albums (Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly and Kamasi Washington’s The Epic), Thundercat also put out a great EP of his own called Them Changes. Seeing him perform with Flying Lotus or any of the many collaborators he regularly tours with is nothing like seeing this virtuosic talent take center stage.

Run The Jewels
_____________________________________________________________________________________
When Killer Mike isn’t out stumping for Bernie Sanders, he’s one half of the best rap duo in the game right now. Run The Jewels live performances are a frenzied display of friendship and talent. Killer Mike and El-P own the stage, inciting the crowd to get loud and have fun.

CHVRCHES
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Lauren Mayberry may seem unassuming, but she is in complete control on stage. Whether she’s soaring through one of CHVRCHES’ electro-pop hits or brushing off a heckler with a cutting aside, she comes off like a pro. The band have a great vibe on stage, and they don’t play cute with the set-lists, playing everything a fan could want.

BadBadNotGood
_____________________________________________________________________________________
They appeared at Lollapalooza earlier this year and they’re coming back to Chicago to finish off what has been a hell of a year. BadBadNotGood began 2015 by releasing, Sour Soul, their critically acclaimed collaboration with Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah, and continued winning fans across the country with their unique mix of electronica, jazz, and hip-hop.
