Stream Laura Mvula’s new single “Overcome” ft. Nile Rodgers

Produced By Troy Miller who has worked with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and Rumer, and co-produced by Laura, ’Overcome’ also features the legendary Nile Rodgers, and see’s Laura Mvula in a new found light – still reflecting her distinctive signature sound but showing the progression of an artist who has come in to her own.

Having formed a friendship through their love of music and each others work, Mvula initially sent Rodgers the first version of “‘Overcome”’ and he loved it so much he asked to add some of his magic to the final version. Combining Rodgers’ upbeat sounds with Mvula’s characteristic thrilling harmonies layered beneath stunning tribal beats may come as a surprise to many, but the final product is a true testament to both artists’ musical talents and a clear development from Mvula’s debut album.
