Sting and Peter Gabriel.
Two of music’s most iconic artists – Sting and Peter Gabriel – will unite this summer for a once in a lifetime concert on the Plains of Abraham Bell Stage during the July 7th opening night of Festival d’été de Québec 2016.
“To be on the short list of cities for a concert tour of this magnitude is a privilege and a fantastic gift for all our festival fans. Launching our 2016 Festival with two British rock star legends like Sting and Peter Gabriel together will be one for the anthologies!” said Daniel Gélinas, FEQ’s general manager. Additional information on this concert and the full festival line-up will be announced in March.
This concert is part of Rock Paper Scissors, which is slated to visit select North American cities this June and July (complete tour dates below).
“I’m very happy that we’re taking the chance to experiment this way,” said Sting. “I think people will be intrigued, I certainly am.”
“What intrigues me is that you get a good bunch of musicians together and interesting things will happen,” said Peter Gabriel.
