WayHome adds new artist to 2016 line-up

The Wayhome Music Festival has added acclaimed Canadian indie rock band Metric to its 2016 line-up.

“Metric have been one of the great emerging talents from Canada over the past decade and we are very pleased to have them rounding out our 2016 WayHome line up, ” said Ryan Howes, festival producer, WayHome Music and Arts. “We’re looking forward to welcoming our fans back to Burl’s Creek Event Grounds this summer to take in more than 70 musical performances, spectacular art installations, late night activations and enjoy an immersive festival experience like no other.”

Previously announced bands include: newly reunited dance-rock band LCD Soundsystem, Montreal indie rock band Arcade Fire, and Grammy-nominated rock band The Killers.

In addition to LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire and The Killers, other announced artists include: Major Lazer, M83, HAIM and CHVRCHES, Ray LaMontagne, FKA twigs, Future, Chet Faker, Arkells, Beirut, Gary Clark Jr., Mac DeMarco, Wolf Parade, The Last Shadow Puppets, Foals, The Arcs, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Matt and Kim, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Glass Animals, Third Eye Blind, X Ambassadors, Bahamas, Stars, Tory Lanez, A Tribe Called Red, Half Moon Run, MØ, Phosphorescent, BadBadNotGood, Lucius, Patrick Watson, Vince Staples, AlunaGeorge, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Savages, The Struts, GoldLink, Keys N Krates, Femi Kuti & The Positive Force, Lindsey Stirling, Oh Wonder, Robert DeLong, Coleman Hell, White Denim, Shad, FIDLAR, Tourist, Noah Gundersen, Black Mountain, Marian Hill, Børns, Bombino, Banners, Dilly Dally, Young Empires, All Them Witches, Mothers, LANY, White Lung, Bishop, The Paper Kites, Little Scream, Allie X, Braids, River Tiber, Tennyson and Boom Forest.

Tickets are on sale now at  www.wayhome.com. Tickets have changed slightly from last year with GA camping becoming a separate ticket item to ensure the best fan experience possible.

Last year’s festival included performances from Sam Smith, Neil Young, Kendrick Lamar, Modest Mouse, Run The Jewels, and more.
