The Flaming Lips Announce New Album “Oczy Mlody”

The Flaming Lips have announced the release of their long-awaited studio album, Oczy Mlody, on January 13^th, 2017 via Warner Bros. Records. Produced by the band and their long-time producer Dave Fridmann, the highly anticipated album is the follow-up to their acclaimed 2013 album, The Terror.

Oczy Mlody is available for pre-order beginning today. Fans who pre-order the digital format of the album or the cd or vinyl format from the band’s official website, will receive an instant download of “The Castle” immediately and three more tracks in advance of the January 13^th album release date.

The album will be released in several configurations: a 12-song CD, a 12-song digital version as well as a 12-song double-LP vinyl edition – pressed on colored vinyl and an 11-song single-LP vinyl edition (both of which include a digital download card of all 12 songs on Oczy Mlody), There is also a 7″ red vinyl single of the band’s cover of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” b/w “Jest (There Is…)” and numerous other special offers available through http://www.flaminglips.com/.

The band have also shot a video for the album track “The Castle” which launches today. Filmed in Oklahoma City, the seemingly simple image is as emotionally affecting as the song itself. Watch it below.
