French shoegaze/metal band Alcest, who released their fifth album, Kodama, on September 30th, 2016 via Prophecy Productions, which is a concept album about “the confrontation of the natural world and the human world”, inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s film Princess Mononoke, performed at the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver last night with San Francisco-based alt-metal band Creepers, and Vancouver-based post-metal band Sevens, Nines, And Tens.
