North By Northeast (NXNE) has unveiled its first round of performers to kick off the summer at its second annual NXNE Port Lands festival taking place June 23 to June 25 in Toronto.
Headliners for the three-day festival include chart-topping indietronica act Passion Pit, the multi-talented rapper and producer Tyler, the Creator and genre-bending hip hop artist Post Malone.
These headliners will join other emerging and established voices throughout the weekend including: Bleachers, Sleigh Bells, The Soul Rebels Ft. Talib Kweli, Twin Peaks, Cold Specks, MUNA and Son Little. The second wave of artists will be announced in early April.
“The team at NXNE is driven by its passion for music and pop culture and it’s what drives us to bring Torontonians the most dynamic and innovative programming possible,” said Michael Hollett, President and Managing Director of NXNE. “This year’s Port Lands lineup will light up our stages with the most diverse voices in music today.”
In addition to the stellar musical performances, festival-goers can expect major enhancements to this year’s Port Lands event including a comedy tent, sponsor activations, midway carnival rides and games, art installations, and comfortable retreats for attendees in-between sets.
Early bird tickets are now on sale at nxne.com with Port Lands three-day GA tickets available for $125, which include access to the NXNE Comedy Tent, midway rides and games, food from local food vendors, water stations with free refills, art and installation areas, commemorative RFID wristband, and exit and re-entry privileges. VIP three-day tickets are also available for $220, and will include everything included in GA plus exclusive VIP fast-lane entry to site, front row access to both stages, VIP restroom facilities, priority access & seating at the NXNE Comedy Tent, and exclusive VIP bar with curated cocktails.
