Bestival won’t return to Toronto in 2017

By: Staff –

Rumours have been rife for months about Bestival’s return to Toronto, and today the festival announced that they won’t be returning to Toronto in 2017 following last year’s two-day event at Woodbine Park with a lineup that included the likes of The Cure, and Tame Impala, along with their 2015 event at Hanlan’s Point Beach with headliners Nas, and Florence And The Machine.

“After two amazing years we’re sad to announce we won’t be returning to Canada this year,” a statement on Bestival’s website said. “We’re aiming to bring Bestival back to Toronto in the near future. Massive thanks for all your support and love on our journey so far.”

Bestival UK however has been going strong for the past 12+ years, with the original boutique festival attracting 50,000 fans each year. Known for its creative vision and eclectic music, the festival’s previous headliners include: Stevie Wonder, Florence & The Machine, The Cure, and Kraftwerk.
