Synthpop duo Sylvan Esso, who released their second album, What Now, on April 28, 2017 via Loma Vista Recordings, which followed up their 2014 self-titled debut album, which featured the singles “Hey Mami”, “Play It Right”, “Coffee”, and “Dress”, performed at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto last night with indie rock singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus, who has been described as an artist “with the ability to tell stories that resonate with thoughtful universal truth”.
