After nearly four decades of touring, and 12 studio albums, iconic heavy metal band Slayer are hanging up their pentagrams this year with the final date of their “farewell tour” set for December 8th in Helsinki, Finland.

During a blistering 19-song set, Tom Araya and co. shredded through iconic tracks like “Angel of Death”, “South of Heaven”, and “Raining Blood”, and proved that they still have a boatload more miles still left in the gas tank.

Fire, pentagrams, and guitar solos were on the menu last night as both Kerry King and Gary Holt traded solos. Araya was also in top-form with his signature gravelly growl.

While we all want Slayer to tour forever, we know that’s not realistic. But if you get the chance you see Slayer live this year, don’t miss your chance to say a proper goodbye to SLLAAAAAYYER.
