The Strokes Announce First 2019 Tour Date, Plot “Global Comeback”

By: Staff –

The Strokes

Indie rock mainstays The Strokes have announced their first tour date of 2019, which is part of a “global comeback” for the New York City-based five-piece.

The band, which has largely been inactive since 2017, will perform at Bilbao BBK Live Festival in Bilbao, Spain. The performance will kick off a “global comeback” for the group according to a press release.

While frontman Julian Casablancas has kept busy with his side-project The Voidz, who released their second album, Virtue, back in March, and guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. released his new solo album, Francis Trouble, The Strokes haven’t released new material since their 2016 EP Future Present Past.
