Exclusive Premiere: Stream Silvertone Hills’ Lively New Single “WDYTMF”

By: Staff –

Indie rock band Silvertone Hills are back with their lively new single “WDYTMF”. Stream it exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.

It starts with a Keith Richards-y riff. Once the dirty feel was established the spitty, call-out lyrics came naturally. Then the bridge slows down and gives you a glimpse of calm euphoria, only to have the guitars smack it away. During the writing process, frontman Liam O’Sullivan shouted “What do you take me for?!” as a placeholder on top of the guitar riff, which directed the whole lyrical theme and title. The song is bright, aggressive and up-front, so you feel the spit coming off O’Sullivan as he belts it.

“WDYTMF” is the second single from their upcoming debut LP, Limits. This collection of songs represents Silvertone Hills’ most eclectic material. Set for release this October, the band are not so patiently queueing up fresh electric melodies for the rock masses.

Silvertone Hills do indie-rock the way you wish it still was — earnest, tenacious, and unpretentious. From Hamilton, Ontario, the five-piece fuses memorable melodies with jangling guitars and energetic grooves. In the Hills, late ‘60s pop influence meets the sonic textures of modern rock, harmonizing into something innovative yet familiar, like meeting a new friend with an old soul.
