Exclusive: Stream Justine Blanchet’s New Curated “Canadian Country Artists in Nashville” Spotify Playlist

To celebrate the release of her debut EP, Don’t Ask Me to Dance, Canadian country artist Justine Blanchet curated a brand new Spotify playlist featuring Canadian country music artists that live in Nashville!

Teigen Gayse – “If You Show Me Yours”

This song is the cutest little love song about being vulnerable with the person you love. It’s perfect for slow dancing in the kitchen. Teigen has been working hard and recently finished a tour with Gord Bamford, another amazing Canadian artist. Every playlist needs a slow love song.

Melissa Livingstone – “Grew Up on It”

This song is perfect to turn up either at a bar or driving down an ‘ole dirt road. I had to chance to meet Melissa in person last September in Calgary and we’ve had to chance to hang out in Nashville as well.

Leanne Pearson – “Never Too Early”

Leanne’s latest song is the perfect song for the summer. It’s the kind of song that makes you wanna go to the beach! Leanne is an amazing friend and I love to visit her and see her little boy grow up so fast!

Ben Chase – “Small Town Talking”

Ben’s song is the cutest song about how small towns can get when it comes to spreading rumors about relationships. If the whole town is talking about y’all, might as well prove ‘em right.

Shantaia – “Know You”

A playlist should always have more than one slow love song. This song is about a breakup and will definitely make you cry. I chose this song because Shantaia has been working hard in Nashville and recently released a full-length album.

Madeline Merlo – “Slide”

This song is also the name of her latest EP. It’s a cute summer song about having fun. I’ve had the chance to meet Madeline a few times over the last year. She is a phenomenal songwriter. She co-wrote the song “Cheap Sunglasses” from my new EP.

Nicole Sumerlyn – “Hostage”

I’ve had the pleasure of writing with Nicole and she’s being very active in Nashville. This song is a perfect addition to this playlist. It talks about feeling trapped in a world of emotions because one person in the relationship is more invested than the other one.

Taylor-Rae – “If This is Love”

This song is the cutest and saddest love song. It talks about the toying of emotions and questioning about a relationship. It’s so bittersweet because most girls can relate about wondering whether feelings are reciprocated or are we just wasting our time.

Twin Kennedy – “Wise Woman ft. Mallory Johnson”

These twins are so talented and truly one of kind. This song is relatable to most women in the industry because it talks about the struggles of being a woman. This song is so inspiring for women who have been trail-blazers in male-dominated industries.

Amberlea Bruch – “Break My Own Rules”

Her latest single is so powerful and inspires confidence. At times when life gets a little stale, this song talks changing things up and breaking the rules we have for ourselves. This is all in the pursuit of new adventures.
