Photos + Review: Incubus, Manchester Orchestra, Paris Jackson @ Budweiser Stage

Last night (June 30th) at Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Incubus showcased their classic 2001 album Morning View, who performed the platinum and gold selling album in its entirety along with some of their hits.

Paris Jackson captivated the crowd after a rain delay with her soulful voice and heartfelt presence, effortlessly blending her artistic authenticity with a touch of rock star charisma. The daughter of pop legend Michael Jackson, Paris played a shortened set that featured tracks from her growing discography that includes her 2020 debut album Wilted, which was produced by Manchester Orchestra frontman Andy Hull, along with her 2022 Lost EP.

Manchester Orchestra delivered a powerful, emotionally charged set, showcasing their intricate songwriting and frontman Andy Hull’s raw vocal intensity that immediately drew the audience in. The band showcased their incredible musicianship, blending powerful rock melodies with poignant lyrics that resonated deeply with the capacity crowd.

Incubus took the stage to perform their iconic album Morning View in its entirety, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Frontman Brandon Boyd’s charismatic stage presence, combined with the band’s tight musicianship, brought each track to life with vibrancy and depth. From the energetic album opener “Nice To Know You”, to the beloved track “Wish You Were Here”, the band’s seamless execution and passionate delivery transported fans back to the 2000s, creating a shared sense of joy and nostalgia. 

The lush soundscapes, dynamic instrumentation, and Boyd’s engaging storytelling made every song feel fresh yet familiar, highlighting why Morning View remains a timeless masterpiece.

The encore, which featured set staples like “Drive” and “Pardon Me,” brought the night to an emotional peak, leaving attendees with a profound sense of gratitude for witnessing such a masterful tribute to their classic album. 

Overall, the concert was a perfect blend of indie rock passion from Manchester Orchestra and Paris Jackson, and life-affirming alt-rock that affirmed Incubus’ status as one of the most talented and influential bands in music.
