Last night (July 23rd) at Budweiser Stage in Toronto, fans were treated to an electrifying night of punk rock magic as The Offspring and New Found Glory delivered unforgettable performances that left the crowd headbanging.
New Found Glory kicked off the evening with their signature pop-punk exuberance and hits like “My Friends Over You,” “All Downhill from Here,” and “Dressed To Kill.” Flanked by Dan O’Connor from Four Year Strong, who is filling in on lead guitar, and Zach Comtois from Motion City Soundtrack filling in on rhythm guitar, the Florida-based icons delivered on contagious energy and heartfelt passion. Lead singer Jordan Pundik’s interaction with the crowd, including zooming around while singing in the pit, his playful banter, and tight musicianship fostered an intimate but exhilarating vibe that kept everyone on their feet.
The Offspring blasted everyone away with their signature high-energy set that seamlessly blended classic hits like “Self Esteem,” “Come Out and Play,” and “Gotta Get Away,” with newer tracks that showcased their enduring relevance and musical evolution. The band’s solid performance, and raw punk spirit landed with longtime fans and newcomers alike, creating an atmosphere charged with ’90s nostalgia.
Pop-punk fans from all walks of life sang along loudly, moshed, and danced throughout the night, creating a communal spirit that exemplified the best of what punk rock has to offer. The evening was a testament to the enduring appeal of punk rock, showcasing how these bands continue to inspire new generations while staying true to their roots. As the night wrapped up, it was clear that everyone had been part of something special—an evening that celebrated a pair of iconic bands, and the timeless energy of punk rock. Overall, last night’s concert reaffirmed why The Offspring and New Found Glory remain beloved staples in the punk scene.
