Last night (July 28th) at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, The Weeknd brought night two of his ongoing After Hours til Dawn Tour, which featured incredible performances by Kaytranada and Mike Dean, who both delivered an unforgettable night of music and artistry that left fans exhilarated.

From the moment the lights dimmed and The Weeknd took the stage, his commanding presence and magnetic energy set the tone for a truly immersive experience. The setlist seamlessly blended hits like radio smash singles “Blinding Lights”, and “Can’t Feel My Face”, and created a narrative that explored themes of love, heartbreak, and redemption, all wrapped in his signature atmospheric soundscapes.

Kaytranada’s electrifying DJ set infused the capacity stadium with pulsating beats and innovative remixes, which elevated the mood and encouraged fans to dance and lose themselves in the music. Showcasing original tracks, along with covers of songs from the likes of Chance The Rapper, KAYTRAMINÉ, and Sam Gellaitry, you can tell why Kaytranada was hand-picked to open these shows.

Meanwhile, Mike Dean’s masterful production and mixing skills added depth and richness to his set, and ensured every note resonated perfectly across the vast space of Rogers Centre.

Across the three artists, the visuals were nothing short of spectacular, with stunning LED displays, synchronized light shows, and atmospheric fog that complemented each song, and enhanced the emotional impact of the performance.

The intimacy of The Weeknd’s vocals, combined with the high-energy contributions of Kaytranada and Mike Dean, created a dynamic synergy that kept the audience engaged from start to finish. In addition, The Weeknd’s connection with his fans was palpable as he often shared heartfelt moments of his early life in Toronto, how grateful he is for his success, and also encouraged sing-alongs that fostered a sense of community and shared experience.

Overall, the After Hours til Dawn Tour was a celebration of creativity, talent, and resilience that left everyone with memories to cherish of an artist at the peak of his powers.
