Lehigh Valley, PA,-based Blues Control will storm into Toronto’s Parts and Labour on July 31st, with support from Florida-based electronic sibling duo Andy and Edwin White, collectively known as Tonstartssbandht, whose latest release Sinkhole Storm and Sandwich was available on cassette through Band Camp and was limited to an edition of 100.
Blues Control, which consists of Lea Cho and Russ Waterhouse, released Valley Tangents, their fourth album since 2006, on June 19.
According to their press kit, they will be “at least one, if not two videos providing the cinema for the soundtracks-in-waiting of Valley Tangents.”

One of those videos has already been released for their single “Love’s A Rondo.”
So, if you’re interested in “Debussy via Guaraldi qua Bley qua Hornsby pianisms, and the playful juxtapositions of a full spectrum of rock colors: stadium, industrial, psych and prog,” you’d enjoy Blues Control.
