Acclaimed Nova Scotia-based rockers Joel Plaskett Emergency performed during the first day of the Toronto Urban Roots Festival (TURF), which bills itself as the first multi-day downtown Toronto outdoor roots music festival since 1995, along with Scottish indie-pop quintet Camera Obscura, who released their new album, Desire Lines, on June 3rd via 4AD.
