Acclaimed Toronto-based singer-songwriter Jason Collett wrapped up his seventh annual “Basement Revue” at Adelaide Hall in Toronto last night with guests that included acclaimed Canadian poet Margaret Atwood, who on this night was backed by Toronto-based alt country quartet The Sadies, Montreal-based singer-songwriter Rae Spoon, Canadian columnist Tabatha Southey, feminist art collective Guerrilla Girls, Toronto-based pop/rock artist and Arts & Crafts signee Lowell, American poet Anne Waldman, Montreal-based duo AroarA, which features Andrew Whiteman (Broken Social Scene, Apostle of Hustle) and Ariel Engle, and Toronto-based electronic/dance band Light Fires, who released their debut album, Face, on July 30.
