Swedish indie rock quintet The Sounds, who released their fifth album, Weekend, on October 29th, 2013 via Arnioki Records, performed at The Hoxton in Toronto last night with LA-based indie pop brother-and-sister duo Blondfire, who released their second album, Young Heart, on February 11th, 2014, and Australian synthpop quartet Strange Sounds, who are expected to release their self-produced debut album, Cast Away, on April 29th, 2014, via Wind-up Records, which was mixed by Tony Hoffer (M83, Phoenix), and Eliot James (Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club).
