Austin, Texas-based blues-funk-soul band Black Joe Lewis, who released their new album, Electric Slave, on August 27th, 2013 via Vagrant Records, who is also performing at this weekend’s Toronto Urban Roots Festival (TURF), played at warm-up show at The Horseshoe Tavern last night with folk-rock singer-songwriter Willie Nile, who released his ninth album, American Ride, on June 25th, 2013, via Loud & Proud, and New York City-based rock band The London Souls.
