Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have revealed the new video for “Kevin,” a moving personal narrative that tackles the prescription drug epidemic in America and features soul singer Leon Bridges.
The video was directed by Ryan Lewis and Jason Koenig and features both Macklemore and Leon Bridges.
The song appears on This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ self-released album out this Friday, the follow up to their multi-platinum, award winning 2012 album The Heist. The thirteen track LP includes the single “Downtown” (featuring Kool Moe Dee, Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz, and Eric Nally), as well as previously unavailable track “Growing Up” (featuring Ed Sheeran).
This Unruly Mess I’ve Made was largely recorded over the course of a year in the wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. “What I couldn’t find in a hotel room, on the road or in Seattle, I found in the middle of nowhere,” says Macklemore.
Macklemore & Ryan kick off a 2-month European Arena tour next week that includes stops at London’s O2 Arena and the AccorHotels Arena in Paris – their biggest European headlining shows to date. Click HERE for tour dates.
