Are Foo Fighters breaking up?

Foo Fighters.

Foo Fighters will make “an official band announcement” tonight (March 2nd) via their social media.

They posted cryptic message to their Twitter and Facebook accounts early this morning.

According to Page Six, Dave Grohl — who performed solo at last weekend’s Academy Awards — plans to split off from Foo Fighters to attempt a solo career. “The band is billing it as a ‘break,’ but it’s totally Dave going solo, and Taylor is pissed about it,” sources tell Page Six. But another source close to the group insisted to the website that buzz of bad blood over a split is “completely untrue.”

A rep for the band told Entertainment Weekly in response that “any reports about the band breaking up are ‘utterly ridiculous.’”
