Day 3 of Toronto ComiCon began with a rescheduled panel with Ghostbusters actor Ernie Hudson. He was then followed by back-to-back panels from Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter), and Karen Allen (Indiana Jones). Unfortunately, the back-to-back panels meant that some fans would have to pick one or two panels and dedicate their time to lining up for them.

Despite Sunday usually being a rather moderate day for conventions, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre was jam-packed with fans seeking to get in some last-minute panels, photo-ops, autographs, merchandise, and art prints. It’s not uncommon to see “last-day deals” pop up from artists and vendors.

In speaking with many people over these past three days, it was fairly easy to see that their love for these comic book, movie, TV, and anime characters were all more than just a fleeting hobby. There were people who traveled from across North America, and beyond. In every room, there were an abundance of people who managed to laugh and eagerly await a chance to talk about their favourite panels or their favourite chapter of a book.

The energy died down as the day progressed, and as people were leaving, saying “until next time!” For some, the “next time” is Anime North, which will be held from May 27th – May 29th. For others, their next Toronto convention would be Fan Expo in September.
