Day one of Governors Ball 2016 featured performances by indie rock band The Strokes, who released their second EP, Future Present Past, on June 3, 2016 via Cult, UK indie rock band Bloc Party, who released their fifth album, Hymns, on January 29th, 2016 via BMG, Brooklyn-based indie dance duo Matt and Kim, who released their fifth album, New Glow, on April 7th, 2015 via Fader Label, experimental folk-rock singer-songwriter Father John Misty, who released his second album, I Love You, Honeybear, on February 10th, 2015 via Sub Pop, and more!
