Day one of Pitchfork Festival 2016 featured performances by Juno Award-winning Toronto-based indie rock band Broken Social Scene, who released their fourth album, Forgiveness Rock Record, on May 4th, 2010 via Arts and Crafts, Vancouver-based electropop singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen, who released her third album, Emotion, on June 24th, 2015 via 604/Interscope, which featured the singles “I Really Like You”, “Run Away with Me”, “Your Type”, and “Boy Problems”,Chicago-based garage rock band Twin Peaks, who lifted their name from the early-’90s cult television series of the same name, and who released their second album, Wild Onion, on August 5th, 2014 via Grand Jury Music, and more.
