Olga and Johannes Taal of Trip to Dover..
Netherlands-based alternative indie electro duo Trip to Dover has released a new lyric video for “Fade Into Gold”. Watch it below.
Described as, “Dave Grohl’s twin sister meets the Chemical Brothers at a Naked and Famous concert”, “Fade Into Gold” is a mashup of punk rock-flavoured vocals over an 80’s synthpop beat.
Trip to Dover formed in Brighton (UK) by vocalist/guitarist Olga and synth-player Johannes, who moved there after deciding their careers in architecture and politics were not what they were after. From there they self-released two EP’s.
In 2014 they released their newest EP, written in the aftermath of their return to Holland due to the loss of three close family members to cancer. Titled Kiss Fight Dance, it stands for ways to cope with tragedy and life in general.
Trip to Dover returned to the studio in the winter of 2016 with producer Martijn Groeneveld to record new material. They released their then new single “Boy” on June 4th with a release tour through the Netherlands, Germany and England.
In the autumn of 2016 Trip to Dover returned to Mailmen Studio, Utrecht to finish what they started earlier in the year. Together with Martijn Groeneveld they recorded a new EP, Fade into Gold, which they released in February 2017 via Final 500 Records.
“Fade Into Gold” is available now in vinyl, CD, and digital download here.
