In a new feature to Aesthetic Magazine, we are proud to announce a collaboration with Toronto-based writer/photographer/podcast host Adam R. Harrison and his new show, The Adamantium Podcast, which features local and celebrity guests engage in casual conversations on art, culture, and entertainment.
In episode eight, two-time Impact Wrestling X-Division champion, Petey Williams (a.k.a. “The Canadian Destroyer”), joins us to discuss his three-year retirement and return to Impact Wrestling, how he first got started in the business, the creation and legacy of the Canadian Destroyer finishing maneuver, and why he has no intentions on going to WWE or NXT. We also talk about his band, The High Crusade, with fellow wrestlers Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly, his love for 90s grunge music, and how he managed to get pulled over by the OPP but walked away with four coupons for Tim Hortons hot chocolate.
