Vancouver-based indie pop band Fake Shark are back with a new lyric video for their brand new single “Smile”, which you can watch exclusive via Aesthetic Magazine below.
Full of nostalgic imagery, reminiscent of the easy California lifestyle that’s sure to make viewers smile, the lyric video takes a karaoke approach to it’s format, encouraging fans to sing along.
Explaining the inspiration behind the video, lead singer Kevvy Mental says, “The Smile lyric/karaoke video is going with the aesthetic theme of our artwork for the singles and record we have coming out. All your favourite things in one place, but you’re still yearning for something more, which goes with the theme of the song. You’re not quite satisfied, so maybe that person may come along and figure it out with you. Karaoke can either be a party or lonely, depending on the venue you’re at. I’ve had some lonely Kiss From A Rose renditions in foreign countries, maybe I can find a duet partner.”
