In a new feature to Aesthetic Magazine, we are proud to announce a collaboration with Toronto-based writer/photographer/podcast host Adam Harrison and his new show, The Adamantium Podcast, which features local and celebrity guests engage in casual conversations on art, culture, and entertainment.
In episode 34, Derek Sanders, lead singer of emo-punk band, Mayday Parade, joins us to talk about being one of the hardest working touring bands in the world, the end of Warped Tour, and their Halloween show. We also discuss their new album, Sunnyland, the transgression of the ‘emo’ genre, and how their songwriting has adapted over the last decade. Derek tells us which songs have “saved his life” as well as his favourites to play live.
